A personal message from Amanda

Support as individual as you are!

Thank you for your interest in Compassionate Care.

My company was born out of personal experience and the desire to make a difference. I regularly come across too many people that are just ‘getting what they are given’ and don’t realise they have a choice.

I have worked in residential homes, nursing homes and home care services since the age of 15. During that time, I have seen a lot of things done very well, but also seen a lot of things done badly!

At the age of 19, with the aid of a domiciliary agency, I cared for my own mother for two years, before she sadly passed away from cancer.

When you’ve witnessed the vulnerability of a loved one, it really brings home the importance of good care. Now, when recruiting my team, I only interview and select the kind of people I would have confidence in looking after my own mum.

Having someone support you is a very personal thing. Whether you are 21 or 101, we aim to enable you to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible.

We believe in people living, not just existing. That’s why we tailor everything to you.

Whether this means teaching you life skills, building confidence, providing personal care or providing practical support, such as doing your ironing, this will always be done with the utmost dignity and respect.

As a naturally compassionate person, I firmly believe everyone has the right to be looked after with compassion, regardless of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability.

Everyone has a choice and the basic right to be a participant in their support package, not simply a recipient of care.

That’s why my company will never lose that personal touch. I always encourage my team to get to know our clients and become their friend and their confidant. Trust builds naturally from there.

Care with us isn’t ‘one size fits all’. We respect people as individuals and do not believe in labels. At Compassionate Care, my team of elite carers are raising the bar and setting the standard for what exceptional care should really look like.

I do hope you can find what you are looking for on this website, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to know more.
