Rachel Lyttle


My role

As a Team Leader, my role is to direct, support and maintain high standards within my team of support workers.  I have about 20 clients to look after and ensure that their needs are met and that our duties exceed their expectations.  Each client has their own different requirements and their support is tailored to what they want.


My experience

I have always worked with the public, whether face-to-face or on the telephone, which gives me a natural rapport with people from all walks of life.  Having worked at The Inland Revenue, call centres and in sales, I can multi-task my workload and prioritise duties to ensure the staff and clients that come under my remit are happy and content.


Rewards and challenges

The most rewarding aspect of my job is sharing a laugh with clients and staff.  It brightens up my day knowing that they are happy!

The most challenging aspect for me is to ensure all the staff ‘sing from the same hymn sheet’.  It’s great to work with different personalities, keeps me on my toes and making sure that my style is adaptable so that I can communicate effectively with all of my team.
