I am both administrator and part-time adult support worker, responsible for processing all staff timesheets, which leads to the generation of client invoices and payroll. I am also accountable for keeping new staff and client data updated. I have a client who I visit every week and have been doing so for nearly 2 years. We have built up a great relationship and I treat her as I would my Grandma.
My previous roles before joining Compassionate Care were a mix of administration, reception and accounting for a firm of solicitors, where I was employed for 12 years. I feel I have brought the experience from each of those roles into Compassionate Care.
Rewards and challenges
The things I find rewarding about my job are being part of the office team as well as working in the community, which I absolutely love. The most challenging would have to be working part time, due to childcare, and trying to fit in everything during the three days I work.
